SCSGNA 2012 PRESIDENT MESSAGE

I am extremely enthusiastic to be President of SCSGNA for 2012.   The executive board and I have been working diligently on planning conferences for the upcoming year. We have the dates and venues for our 2012 conferences and are working on the GI specific line up of fabulous speakers.

The Spring Conference will be held on March 24^th at the Hilton in Costa Mesa.  It is a beautiful hotel that is easily accessible from the highway.  The famous South Coast Plaza is close by for all of you who love to shop.  Once we have confirmed our speakers by mid January, we will update our website. I encourage you to routinely browse this website  for the latest updates on the conference before we send out the brochure. Additionally the website is resource for upcoming events such as the Flowers 4 the Float and UNDY 5000, career opportunities, SGNA links and other courses of interest to name a few.

We will be returning to the Scottish Rite Center in San Diegofor our Fall conference on October 13^th.  We had wonderful reviews at this location.  It also is easily accessible to freeway, free parking, and close to many hotels and a short drive to the numerous beaches and attractions inSan Diego.

Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to remind all of you of the scholarships available to you regionally from SCSGNA. We offer two $500 scholarships annually to help regional members attend National SGNA Education courses or for certification /recertification.  The process is easy; from our website  locate membership/scholarships, download and complete the application and mail it.  I encourage all of you do take advantage of these scholarships to use towards certification or SGNA’s Annual Course inPhoenix this year.
